Gorda is a nickname I (the chef) have had my whole life, the nickname seemed to have more of a negative impact on my life then positive. Of course due to the "norm" of what society thinks a woman should look like, it was hard to accept myself when this was my given name. I decided that it was time to turn my negative into a positive with the end goal of teaching myself to accept “me” the way I am. Cooking has only allowed me to carry the confidence I never thought I had! I can only hope that I inspire a few people out there to never allow the negative outweigh the positive!
